Mrs. Hosey

Passes Away After An Extended Illness.
Native of Ireland and a
Resident of Connersville for many years –
Aged Seventy-Five.

Mrs. Catherine Hosey died at her home on Fayette street at eleven o’clock last evening after a long illness.  The deceased was seventy-five years of age.

Mrs. Hosey was born on December 19, 1841 at Carlow, Ireland. She was the oldest of a family of five children born to Patrick and Julia Kelley.  She lived until her young girlhood in the country of her nativity. Upon her immigration to the United States she settled in Connersville and has lived here ever since. Two sisters, Mrs. Mary Ayres, and Mrs. Anna Lowler, of Carlow, Ireland, three sons, Patrick Brennan, Michael Brennan and Edward C. Hosey, and one daughter, Mary Brennan, survive her with sixteen grandchildren. Two sons, Peter and Thomas Brennan are deceased.

Mrs. Hosey was a devout member of the Roman Catholic church and to the church and its affairs she had given of her best time and efforts.
