The mariage of Capt. John ADAIR M.C. Ballynoe,
Tullow, son of the late Mr. J. O. ADAIR and Mrs. ADAIR,
Tullow to Mrs. Mary SAVILE, widow of Capt. W.H.B. SAVILE and
daughterof Major and Mrs. B. THORNE, Uplands, Bathwick, Bath
took place at St. Martin in the Fields, London.
Major R. St. Leger MOORE was best man.
The bride was given away by Col. Wrey SAVILE.
The honeymoon will be spent at Glenbride, Wicklow.

On Tuesday the 28th July a very pretty wedding took
place in St. Peters Church, Kiltegan when Mr. George H.
ALLEN, second son of Mr. John ALLEN of Donard was married to
Miss Louise HAWKINS, second daughter of the late George
HAWKINS and Mrs. HAWKINS, Tourboy House, Kiltegan.
As the bride entered the Church, leaning on her
brother’s arm the hymn “Lead Us Heavenly Father Lead Us”_was
sung by the choir.
At the conclusion of the ceremony, “Thine Forever”was
also sung.
The
bride was given away by her brother, Mr. G. HAWKINS. As the
party left the Church the Wedding March was played by Miss
CALDBECK.
The
happy pair left by motor for Dublin via Donard.
They sail for Canada in about a forthnight carrying
with them the good wishes of all who know them.

Yesterday afternoon in St. Stephen’s Church, Upper Mount
Street, Miss Ethel GODDARD daughter of Norris GODDARD Esq.
J. P. of 52 Merrion Square and Grand-daughter of Graves
CATHREW, Esq. of Donard’s Demesne, Co. Wicklow, was married
to Mr. John DAVIDSON Esq. of Windsor Park, Belfast.
The Church was beautifully decorated for the occasion
and combined with the bright dresses of the ladies presented
a picturesque appearance.
The officiating clergyman was the Right Rev. J.F.
LITTLE and Rev. T. A. HARVEY.
The bride, who was given away by her father, looked
extremely pretty in a costume of white duchess satin trimmed
with embroidery.
She carried a bouquet composed of Lillies of the
Valley, white roses and white heather.
She was attended by six bridesmaids dressed in pale
blue muslin de soie with bows of blue velvet in their hair.
Mr. H. HARRISON acted as best man.
After the reception a ceremony was held in the
Hibernian Hotel.

PRETTY WEDDING AT GLASNEVIN
WOOTON + LAMB
A pretty wedding was celebrated at Glasnevin Parish Church,
the Rev. R. A. BYRN, Rector officiating.
The contracting parties were Mr. John Feginald WOOTON
and Miss M. G. LAMB eldest daughter of Mr. Gordon LAMB, “Daneswood”,
Glasnevin.
The
event excited considerable local interest, as was envinced
by the very large attendance of the general public at the
ceremony.
The
bridesmaids were Miss Lena and Miss Bessie LAMB (sisters of
the bride) and Miss Hilda and Miss Gladys WOOTON (sisters of
the bridegroom).
A reception was subsequently held at “Daneswood” and
was largely attended.
The happy pair were the recipients of numerous and
costly presents.
These included gifts from the colleagues of the
bridegroom in the office of the Congested Districts Board
and from the Glasnevin Parish Choir of which the bride was a
member in addition to the following from their immediate
relatives:- Mr. LAMB, silver tea and coffee service; Mrs.
LAMB, treadle sewing machine, house linen and Japanese tea
service; Mr. and Mrs. J. J. WOOTON, Piano; Mr. James LAMB,
breakfast service; Miss Hilda WOOTON, brass fender; Miss
Ellen WOOTON, silver tea spoons; mrs and the Misses HACKETT,
china tea pot, fruit dish, cushion, toilet mats and cushion
cover.
Some
lady friends of the bride joined in presenting her with a
gold curb amethyst and pearl bracelet, brooch and pendant.
