- Here is a great aerial photo of Graiguecullen (Maryborough St, Sleaty St, 98 Street, Croppy
Graves). I reckon it was taken in the 1940's.

Begley's Store it is the first building
around the corner from Graigue Bridge...today it is named "The Bridge
Take Away". The photo was taken July 1970. The Begley family were
here since the early 1800s and up to the 1960s... Austin Crowe's mother
was one of the Begley family, he has often mentioned them in his
writings. Sources: Maribeth E. Nolan (Facebook) and Michael Purcell. |
Nolan House in Graiguecullen, taken in 1970,
standing in front of what I believe was his boyhood home at No 17
Maryborough Street. We would like to know where this house was located
and if anyone remembers it. Image provided by Maribeth E. Nolan Nov
