BROWN ALIAS MAGOVERN, JOHN FEBRUARY 27, 1819

In the Name of God Amen I John Brown alias John Magovern 
seaman belonging to His Majestys ship Orlando being of sound 
mind and memory do hereby constitute this my last Will and 
Testament that is to say in the first Place I recommend my 
Soul to God Secondly I give and bequeath unto William Marten 
and William Hicks Seamen on board His Majestys ship Orlando 
all my Cloathes to be divided equally with four Pounds 
sterling each thirdly I give and bequeath unto Ann Magovern 
my Wife and John Magovern my Son living in New Town Barry in 
the County of Wexford Ireland All the residue of such wages 
or pay......or Prize money And all other Sum and Sums of 
money whatsoever as now are And which hereafter shall or may 
be due or Payable unto me for my Services or otherwise in 
any one of His Majestys Ships or Vessels of War And I do 
hereby appoint my said Wife Ann Magovern And my Son John 
Magovern to be my sole Executrix and Executor of this my 
last Will and Testament And ratifying and confirming this 
and no other to be my last Will and Testament In Witness 
whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal on board His 
Majestys ship Orlando in Bombay in the East Indies this 27 
day of February 1819 John Brown x his mark Signed sealed and 
declared in the presence of us by the said John Brown alias 
Magovern where no stamp paper could be had John Aaron 
Captain _ Edw H Scott ...... Lieut _ Henry Hall Master HMS 
Orlando
Proved at London 8 January 1820 to Ann Magovern the Relict 
power reserved to John Magovern
