Telecom Eireann has introduced a new system for phone numbers in Kerry, (and other areas of Ireland).

After the city code ie "66", we now have to insert a new two digit code, then the phone number. Different phone numbers will have different 2 digit numbers to enter.

Example, for the Kerry County Library, Moyderwell, Tralee

Old Tel: 066-21200
New Tel: 066-71-21200

Here are all the new 2 digit number changes for Kerry;

71 + phone #s that begin with 2, 3, 4, or 8
91 + phone #s that begin with 5
94 + phone #s that begin with 7
97 + phone #s that begin with 6 or 9
