Transcriber John Knightly explains burials in the graveyard, "It was the custom in Ireland for both Catholics and Protestants to be buried in the same graveyard. Therefore one will find well-known names and not so well known names buried side by side. It would appear that many headstones in this cemetery have disappeared over the years, as the graveyard became increasingly overgrown and neglected. Recently however, surviving tombs and headstones have been consolidated and the graveyard cleaned up.
The numbers preceding the inscriptions indicate their position on the map."View a larger image of the map in a separate window.
