Gilbert Dwyer for cow-stealing, - Guilty, sentence of death recorded. The court then adjourned. Clonmel, Wednesday, April 4. SIGNATURES TO THE ANTI-CATHOLIC PETITION Of the Protestant Gentlemen and Landed Proprietors, resident in Ireland. We give the names of the Anti-Catholic Petitioners from this County. It is a pleasing circumstance, that out of the numerous body of Landed Proprietors, only two dozen could be found, whose hearts are so corroded with bigotry, as to deny a participation of rights to their fellow-subjects. Of those insignificant few, we shall say more at a future period. The Slieverdagh Petitioners shall also receive a just measure of attention, when the hurry of the Assizes are over; we have received their names, and shall only now say, that such a list of ragamuffins (with very few exceptions) was scarcely ever presented to the public. Esq. sincerely and deservedly regretted by a very numerous and highly respectable circle of his acquaintance. About four o'clock on last Friday evening, a party of armed men, about ten in number, attacked the house of a man named TIERNEY, who lived on the lands of Hoarabbey, near Cashel.- They set fire to the house, then proceeded to the front of hi, where they shot a dog and two horses; when the house was in flames, the unfortunate inmates were obliged to leave it, preferring the chance of being burned within. TIERNEY, the elder was not at home, but his wife and brother were, and as soon as they came out of the house, the latter whose name was Michael TIERNEY, was shot thro' the chest, the ball entering at one sid and passing out the other. The farm on which TIERNEY lived was that on which a man of the name of FOLEY was lately attacked by night, and severely beaten, in consequence of which he surrendered it. On Friday evening, about five o'clock, a party of seven men stopped a servant of Counsellor SCULLY's, who was riding a horse from Clonmel to Kilfeacle, (near to were TIERNEY, Mr. BUTLER'S tenant, was murdered an hour previously). They made him dismount and demanded his name and business. He told them his name was Thomas LYNCH, that he was a County Kilkenny man, and servant to Counsellor SCULLY. Oh! said they, "we know the horse; he is Counsellor SCULLY'S, and we will shoot him" - the servant entreated him to spare the horse, and said he would sooner lose his own life. - they asked him was he prepared to die, and he replied he hoped so - they then placed him on his knees and fired twice at him, but being tipsey, and their hands shaking very much, they missed him - they then desired him rise, and observing that he was a stranger and would not know them again, gave him his horse and allowed him to proceed on his journey to Kilfeacle. The scene took place in the presence of fifteen or twenty country people, who remained quiet and unconcerned spectators. The party, who were young men about twenty years of age and very shabbily dressed, departed across the fields in the direction of Knockgraffon - they were armed with six guns and a case of pistols, and appeared in excellent order. INQUEST. - Friday an Inquest was held before Alderman ARCHER, on view of the body of a sailor named William CURRAN, taken out of the Basin at Ringsend on the same morning. Verdict, "Found drownded." This last batch will all be: SIGNATURES TO THE ANTI-CATHOLIC PETITION FROM THE BARONY OF SLIEVARDAGH (This petition was touched on in a previous article) May 12, 1827 Carrick, Mountcashel, R.
