		This is the old School Masters house where Tom Nolan, Martin Whelan and Jim Harney lived as NS teachers. Photo taken 1968	Arles 1968 looking towards The Monument Tom Brophy's house is on the right. That's Williams old Ford Anglia parked on the left.

Arles 1968. William Muldowney's grandmother lived here 1933 to 1943. The house is no longer there. Just below School Master’s house you can see a mud heap. That is all that is left of Mary Anne Hipwell’s house. In my time Mary Abbin, Mary Anne Hipwell’s Aunt, lived there with my Grand Mother Mrs Byrne

You can see Tom Brophy’s house in the distance.

*In the picture where the Ford Anglia is parked is the entrance to a laneway leading to Deegan's of the Fields.
The House is now occupied by Tony Kennedy, son of Patrick owner of the Pub "The Ash Trees".

The other Deegans of the Lock lived near there as well.
