William Shannon and his wife Anne McEvoy (above) are my Great Great
Grandparents.
William was born 1836. died 16 Nov 1926 and Anne was born 1939 and
died in 1909
apart from the two girls listed, Ann and Teresa, there were 5 more:

There is a possibly another son called John, but I am still trying
to confirm that. Found him while searching for your Great Uncle John
Brennan in the WWI papers.
These Shannon lived and worked in Grange as farmers. Even today, the
family still have a farm in the area and work with Grange Athletic
Football Club - Bennekerry, Carlow.
I descend via William Shannon born 1875 and his wife Mary Neill via
their Daughter Anne Shannon who married John Curran see number
Curran Family
notes (33 Bridewell lane). John in turn was from Little
Barrack Street and his parents and family are mentioned on that
page.
