Michael Brennan was born 05 Aug 1883 in Coopers House, Ballickmoyler, Co. Laois, and died 24 May 1964 in Ballynagall, Co Laois. He was the son of Mark Brennan and Catherine (Katie) Lalor .They were both from Ballickmoyler, Co Laois. He married Bridget Wall in 1914 at the Sacred Heart Church, Arles, Co Laois. Bridget was born 28 Apr 1882 in Ashfield, Co Laois, and died 19 Mar 1947.

Bridget Wall's father was John Wall b. 24 Oct 1847 and d.1887. Her mother was  Elizabeth Bambrick b.1842 according to the 1901 Census of Ireland and were living in Cooper Hill. They were married 21 Nov 1875 in Sacred Heart Church Arles. Co Laois.

This is the house at Cooper Hill where the Wall family lived in the 1900s and later on the Riley family lived ther in the 1950s. Dan Wall used to take the Riley girl to the dances in Carlow and Graiguecullen on Saturdays and he would have her sitting on the cross bar of his bicycle.

Christina Brennan was born 22 Dec 1919 in Cooks House, Cookscross, Ballynagall, Co Laois, and died 25 Jul 1985 in Ballynagall, Co Laois. She married Nicholas (Nixie) Boran Feb 1947 in Sacred Heart Church, Arles, Co Laois, son of Nicholas Boran and Ellen O'Reilly. He was born Jan 1926 in Coolane, Killeshin, Co Laois, and died 16 Jul 1992 in Ballynagall, Co Laois. They were married in 1917 in Carlow.

Notes on Christina Brennan, Aka: Crissie Brennan

In 1937 she was a member of the ATS in Ballymena, NI.  She also travelled to Birmingham during the 2nd World War to work in a munitions factory there.

("ATS" stands for Auxiliary Territorial Service; the women's branch of the British Army during the Second World War of 1939-1945. Its duties were non-combatant service jobs in support of the army -- drivers, clerks, etc. It was renamed Women's Royal Army Corps (WRAC) after the war and has since been absorbed into the mainstream army).

Burial place of Crissie Brennan is Arles Cemetery next to Thomas & Mary Anne Moran, Lily Kelly (nee Brennan) Esther Kelly and Markie Brennan.
