Prominent Priest Arrested.

Late on Saturday night a large part of military visited Tinryland and arrested Re. Fr. Campion, C.C. His apartments were thoroughly searched. The reverend gentleman was the conveyed under escort to Carlow Military Barracks. Father Campion who was not informed of the charge he was arrested under, has taken a deep interest in the economic side of Irish national affairs, and is very popular with all classes.

Abducted

Two girls taken from their home at Coolbawn, Castlecomer district by masked and armed men , who a Dublin Castle report states, cut their hair because it was alleged that they had been talking to the police. They were told that if there were any reprisals they would be shot.

Dr. E. Dundon , Medical Officer, Borris, who has been for some time confined  in Carlow Military Barracks, has been removed to the Curragh Internment  Camp.
