"Clonegal 1798" Written and
presented as A Bicentenary
Perspective" by the members of the Clonegal '98 Commemoration Committee
of Clonegal, County Carlow, Ireland. "Clonegal in 1798" was first
published in 1998 in Ireland by Duffry Press, Court Street, Enniscorthy,
County Wexford, Ireland.
This book is a collection of documentation
which has been assembled by the Book Committee, Research Assistants and
Typist of the Clonelgal '98 Commemoration Committee of Clonegal. It
gives an account of the people and events of the Rebellion in and around
Clonegal, Co Carlow, Ireland in 1798. The booklet consists of 44 pages
and is a very interesting and informative history relating to that time.
A copy of this book can be found in the Local
History Research section of the Carlow Library, Tullow Street, Carlow,
County Carlow, Ireland. Some copies may still be available for purchase
from a number of shops found in the village of Clonegal, County Carlow,
Ireland.
