Thomas was born County Carlow Ireland, not Co Wexford as stated (by the undertaker) on the death registration.

He came to Canada in August 1817 with his parents Thomas and Betsey Morris and several brothers and sisters.

They had lived in the boundary area of Carlow and Wexford Counties.

The family settled in Yonge Township south of Athens village.

After the death of his father Thomas Morris Sr., Thomas purchased his father's original land grant from brother Samuel.

He married Mary Moulton March 6 1838.

He died near Athens Village, Rear of Yonge & Escott Township, in Leeds County Ontario.
