Superintendent states that Henry Cleary is about 22
years of age 5 feet 8 inches high, says he was born in
the County Carlow, was last employed at Holyhead where
he has spent 6 years, returned to Ireland about 14 days
since for the purpose of seeing friends at Carlow,
arrived in Dublin the night before his arrest dropped
into the house (No. 3 Lower Bridge Street). William
Healy the proprietor of the house and his wife say they
do not know what time of the night Cleary came in,
however it seems that, before the suspension of the
Habeas Corpus six other men strangers from England
lodged here, and it would appear as if it is one of
their lodging houses. Cleary has the upright bearing and
gait of a man, who has seen some military service and
may be a deserter. |
