agus ar a ceile
Sean O lionainn,
Cnomaigh beag

English translation:
Mary Ward wife of John Lennon (?)
died 3rd September * 1934
and her husband John Lennon, Cnomaigh Beag**
died
25 December 1959.
In the name of the Father and of the Son
and of the Holy Spirit, Amen
RIP
Note: My son who went to Irish school, said
that * Fomhair is harvest/Autumn, Mean Fomhair is September and
Deireadh Fomhair is October and literally mean middle of
Autumn/Harvest and end of Autumn/Harvest but he would be 90%
sure that in this case, without the Mean or the Deireadh it
would be September.
**
Cnomaigh Beag is most likely a local place name, could not find
a direct translation for it, but perhaps if you know the
graveyard you can tie it back to an area?
Our thanks to Caroline for the above translation and notes.
