collection, has a caption that reads: 'Mass Held at 'Happy
Valley' Monument'. Chaplain Major John Ryan of Leighlinbridge,
County Carlow, Eire, conducts mass at the Dedication Ceremony of
a Monument to 200 British dead who fell in 'Happy Valley' Korea,
fighting a rearguard action in January. The Monument constructed
by a Korean stonemason is to the men of the 1st battalion, The
Royal Ulster Rifles, The 8th King's Royal Irish Hussars and the
170th Independent Mortar Battery, Royal Artillery.'
