Registered ye 25th day of June 1724 at 5 a clock in the
afternoon.
The Mortgage mentioned in this Memorial is satisfied and
discharged as [appraise?] by a Certificate under the Hand
and Seal of William GRAY one of the Mortgagee bearing date
the 29 day of July 1724 which certificate is No 646.
To the Register for the Publick Registering of all Deeds
Conveyances and Wills appointed by Act of Parliament for
that purpose –
A Memorial of the Deed Of
Mortgage Indented bearing date the tenth day of
February one thousand seven hundred and twenty-three and
made or mentioned to be made BETWEEN George BRENAN of
Castletrench in the Queens County Gent of the one Part AND
George GRAY, William GRAY and Jonathan GRAY of Cuddagh in
the Queens County aforesaid Gent of the other part.
Reciting as in and by the same is recited witnesseth that
the said George BRENAN for the consideration therein
mentioned hath given granted and sold unto the said George
GRAY, William GRAY and Jonathan GRAY their executors and
administrators and assigns all and singular the whole
retrenched part of the lands of KILBRACKAN COOLE and
CAMELONE situate in the barony of Upper Ossory and Queens
county held by the said George BRENAN from Coursey IREALND
of Irelands Grove in the Queens county Esq, by LEASE for
lives renewable to have and to hold all and singular
[premises?] aforesaid with ye appurtenances unto the said
George GRAY, William GRAY and Jonathan GRAY their executors
administrators and assigns for and during the natural life
and lives of him the said George BRENAN, Mary BRENAN alias
ROAN, his mother and John BRENAN, his brother and for and
during the life and lives of the longest liver of them
together with the said Lease so perfected by the said
Coursey IRELAND and together with all benefit and advantage
of all and singular the covenants for renewals and other
covenants therein contained subject never the less to the
payment of the rents fees and fines and performance of the
covenants in the said Lease mentioned which said deed of
Mortgage contains a proviso that if the said George BRENAN
his heirs executors and administrators of assigns shall well
and truly pay to the said George GRAY, William GRAY and
Jonathan GRAY or one of them their or one of their executors
administrators or assigns the just and full sum of one
hundred and eighteen pounds sterling with the lawful
interest thereof at or upon the eighth day of February then
next ensuing that then not only the said Deed but also one
Bond bearing equal date therewith the penalty of two hundred
and thirty six pounds conditioned for the payment of one
hundred and eighteen pounds with interest on the said eight
day of February with Patent of Attorney for confessing
judgement thereon being for securing one and the same debt
shall lease determine and utterly void with other covenants
and clauses which said deed was duly perfected by the said
George BRENAN, George GRAY, William GRAY in the presence of
Edward WEIR and Robert WEIR both of the city of Dublin, Gent
and of the said Deed this is a Memorial and to this Memorial
the said William GRAY hath put his hand and seal this twenty
second day of June, one thousand seven hundred and twenty
four in presence of the said Robert WEIR and Richard VANSTON
of the said city of Dublin, Gent – William GRAY [SEAL] being
present – Richard VANSTON – Robert WEIR – Robert WEIR, Gent
above named came this day before me and made oath that he is
a subscribing witness to the Deed of Mortgage where of the
above writing is a Memorial and that he saw the same duly
perfected by the said George BRENAN, George GRAY and William
GRAY and also that he saw the above Memorial perfected by
the said William GRAY and that the name Robert WEIR
subscribed to the said Deed and the above Memorial as a
Witness is this deponents proper handwriting and that he
delivered the above Memorial to William PARRY, Deputy
Registrar the twenty fifth day of June, one thousand seven
hundred and twenty four at or near five of ye clock in the
