Mrs Mary
Gallagher.

Sincere
sympathy was felt in Carlow when news reached the town of the unexpected
death of Mrs Mary Gallagher, 232 Cypress Ave. Bronx, New York who died in
the Lincoln Hospital on Wednesday 22nd December 1937. She was well known in
her early days in Carlow, a daughter of Mr Stephen and Helen O'Neill,
Ballamanus Terrace, Carlow, she went to America a number of years ago. Mary
was a sister of Mrs. Lillie Montgomery and Denis O'Neill of 2070 Grand Ave.
Bronx who are well known in Irish circles in New York. She leaves a husband
and four children. Stephen, Betsy, Eileen and Mary to mourn her loss.

Mr William Walsh.
-
The death
has occurred of William Walsh of Castle Street, Carlow where he carried on a
successful business as shoemaker.

He is
mourned by his brothers Joseph and James Walsh, sister Mrs J.Grace, niece,
Miss J. Walsh, cousins, Thomas, William, Michael, Joseph Finn and Thomas
Neavyn.

memory of Captain E. Snoddy, I.R.A. Blackbog, Quinagh, Carlow who was
shot while in discharge of his duties at Thornville, Palatine, Carlow, on
5th January, 1923. He died that the Republic might live.
