MRS. ELLEN NOLAN EXPIRES AFTER ILLNESS OF PNEUMONIA-NATIVE OF IRELAND

Mrs. Ellen Nolan, for over a half century a resident of Freeport, died at her home, 57 Henderson street shortly after 7 o’clock last evening. She had been ill for a month, and up to the time of her last sickness had always enjoyed good health. Pneumonia is given as the cause of her death.
The deceased whose maiden name was Miss Ellen Burns, was born Dec. 8, 1834 at Killadmond. County Carlow, Ireland. At the age of 21 she was united in marriage to Edward Nolan in her native country. Shortly after their marriage they came to the United States. Freeport was their first home in this country and the deceased has lived here ever since. Mr and Mrs Nolan came here in July 1857.
Mrs Nolan was a member of St. Mary’s church, and also a member of the ladies’ societies of that congregation. Surviving her are four children: Mrs. William Ware, Mrs. Stonick and John and Edward Nolan, all residing in Freeport. One sister, Mrs. James Kavanagh, also lives in this city.
The arrangements for the funeral have not as yet been made
