He was buried on 18 September 1793 at Castle Hill, Carlow, County Carlow, Ireland. This house was lived in by James Doyle (JKL), Bishop of Kildare & Leighlin, between 1822-1826. Old Derrig House was on the road between Graiguecullen and Killeshin, Co. Laois.
