Crown at a General Assizes and General Gaol Delivery held at
Carlow in and for the said County of Carlow on Monday the
26th Day of March 1798 and in the 38th year of the Reign of
our Sovereign Lord George the third by the Grace of God King
that;

Arms and fare, Locks Pistols and other offensive weapons
Wickedly ? and Unlawfully did here Assemble And Appear Armed
as aforesaid To the Terror of his Majesties Subjects to the
Evil Example and against peace and that they on same day
year and place Comtempliously ? and Unlawfully did answer
the particular name and Denomination of United Irishmen the
same not being Usually Assumed by his Majesties Subjects on
their Lawful Occasions and under that Name did here Assemble
and appear armed as aforesaid.

Assault Charge 1798

the 38th year of the Reign etc. etc. etc. Dudley Kavenagh,
Edward Kavenagh, James Kavenagh, Edmond Kavenagh, William
Culliton that they with many others Unknown on 7th May in
the 37th year of the Reign etc. (1797) at __ ??__
Bridge of St. Mollins did Riotously and Unlawfully assemble
and Associate themselves together and Commit a great
_?_ against peace. And that they on Same Day year and place
did assault Thomas Corcoran against peace. Assault Charge
