South Irish Horse
Born Tullow and Enlisted Dublin
Killed in Action:- 20th June 1917 Aged 22 Years
He was the son of Samuel and Ann Willoughby of Mayo, Ballickmoyler, Carlow. Ireland
During the Great War only 40 men died serving with the South Irish Horse. of these 20 were Killed in Action, 6 Died of Wounds and 14 died. Pte Willoughby was one of the 20 to be killed in Action.
This is the only casualty I have seen to the South Irish Horse.
He is Commemorated on the Loos Memorial.
