Richie
Kavanagh
is an Irish
entertainer, who writes and performs his own songs. Famous for the song
"Aon Focal Eile", he now has a number of
hits to his name. Richie was born and raised in Raheenwood Garryhill,
Fenagh, County Carlow, where he still lives.
Richie has been the star attraction at summer festivals all over the
country since 1996.
To date, he has released 14 albums, while his single successes
include "Pussy Pussy Cat", "Mickeys Bucking Ass", "My Girlfriend's got a
Mobile Phone", and "Aon Focal Eile" ("One Other Word") was in the top 10
charts for over 6 months, 7 weeks at number one, and won Richie an IRMA
award for Best Single of the Year in Ireland for 1996.
He also had hits with such tracks as "Fagans Chipper Van" and "The
Chicken Song".
