Alleged Elopement Near Borris.
Our Borris
correspondent informs us that excitement has been revived in the
vicinity of Borris by the intelligence of the elopement of the
daughter of a well-to-do farmer of that locality with her father's
servant man.
The young
lady is well connected, and is said to have refused the hand of a
respectable young farmer, although the match was considered very
desirable on both sides.
The
runaways, it is asserted, started last week for New York, but the
police do not appear to have been apprised of the occurrence.
