St. Patricks Boys A.F.C.
In 1975 Tom Hennessy, a former member of Barrow Rovers F.C and father of
three young boys along with Michael Brennan founded a schoolboy’s soccer
club in Graiguecullen. The club began with a team of under eleven
players.

Saint Patricks day 1975 marked the new club’s first ever tournament win
and fittingly the club was named St. Patricks Boys A.F.C.

From the start the club has, over the past 35 years, developed into a
major nursery for schoolboy soccer in Carlow, and has become the team to
beat in all underage competitions. In the clubs middle years St.Pats
Boys progressed into Junior level Soccer, again with considerable
success.

The clubs first committee was Michael Brennan (Chairman), Tom Hennessy
(Secretary), Ed McKenna (Treasurer), Sean Begley, Dominic Kinsella, Ned
Kelly, Ben Dowling, Billy Doogue, Joey Hutton and Michael Farrell.
