Staplestown Road / Brownshill Road Askea Carlow

Brownshill Road runs from the junction with Staplestown Road and Tullow Road, passing Askea Church and joins up with O'Brien Road.

There are still some retail units trading in the Askea area of Staplestown Road. Most of them are where Staplestown Road meets Tullow Road at the junction of Browndhill Road.

Hegarty's supermarket on Staplestown Road at the junction of Tullow Road and Brownshill Road. Askea. Carlow. Sadly Hegarty's supermarket is currently closed.

This building used to be at the top of Staplestown Road, Carlow c.1998. This area was known as Closh.
