Murphy who was the first to installed the large plate glass windows in a shop
in Carlow.

Tullow Street. The gateway leads to the coal yard and livery stables
which could accommodate up to 15 horses. No 79 is the Family Grocery
complete with Ladies Snug. The man standing in the doorway is the
barman Mr. Capo O'Connor.

- Anyone care to put a date on this house?
This is a rare picture of a house in a back yard behind a shop in
Tullow Street. It has probably never been seen by the general
public for decades as the entrance is well concealed by a pair of large
coach doors which are very rarely opened.
