*The Iron House.
This house was part of the Duckett Estate
and was the rear gate lodge from the entrance at Friarstown. Other gate
lodges include The Towers and the house on the corner of Castledermot
Road/Ducketts Grove Road (Kneestown & Rainstown) now owned by Michael and
Mary Shannon. John Byrne was the last resident of this "The Iron House" His
is a descendant of Byrnes of Killerig (not Byrnes at the cross).
