Church of Ireland - Representative Church Body Library
 
The Church of Ireland's principal repository for its archives and manuscripts holds records from some 600 parish registers of baptisms, marriages, and burials in the Republic of Ireland. The Library also holds biographical succession lists of Church of Ireland clergy, collections of copy wills, extracts from the destroyed 1766 religious census and collections of pedigrees.

Garda Síochána Museum and Archives
 
Museum of the Republic of Ireland's national police force holds material relating to the Garda Síochána, Irish Constabulary, The Royal Irish Constabulary, The Dublin Police, and The Dublin Metropolitan Police.

General Register Office for Ireland
 
The General Register Office holds the following records: births and deaths for all Ireland from 1864 to 1921, and Ireland (excluding North) from 1921; marriages, except Roman Catholic, for all Ireland from 1/4/1845 to 1863; marriages for all Ireland from 1864 to 1921, and Ireland (excluding North) from 1921.

General Register Office for Northern Ireland
 
Records available include Statutory Registers of births (from 1864), deaths (from 1864) and marriages (from 1845).

Land Registry and Registry of Deeds
 
Facilities are available to search Land Registry and Registry of Deeds. Established in 1892, Land Registry folios detail a property with map reference, the registered owner and any burdens (e.g. charges) affecting the property. The Registry of Deeds, established in 1708, provides voluntary registration for deeds and conveyances affecting land.

Linen Hall Library
 
Founded in 1788, it is the oldest library in Belfast. Collections include: Blackwood and Greeves Pedigrees, Griffiths Valuation, births, marriages and deaths in the Belfast News Letter - 1738-1864 and 1945-1960, transcripts for some parish registers, Ireland's Memorial Records, gravestone inscriptions, indexes to wills, army and navy lists, and registers of school and university graduates.

The National Archives of Ireland

Archive material includes: Griffith’s Primary Valuation of Tenements; Tithe Applotment Books; 1901 and 1911 Census Returns; Remnants of some Census Returns for the years 1821, 1831, 1841 and 1851; Transportation records to Australia 1788-1868; Will Calendars, Wills and Letters of Administration; Micro-film copies and transcripts of some Church of Ireland Registers.

The National Library of Ireland
 
Library material includes microfilms of Catholic parish registers up to 1880 and some up to 1900, copies of nineteenth century property valuation records (the Tithe Applotment Books and Griffith's Valuation), trade and social directories, estate records, newspapers and other miscellaneous sources such as family history and local history society publications.

Police Museum
 
The Police Museum holds microfilm copies of the Royal Irish Constabulary service records 1822-1922, the originals of which are held at the Public Record Office at Kew in London. England.

Public Record Office of Northern Ireland
 
PRONI records include: 1901 Census Records and remaining fragments from other years, Tithe Applotment Books compiled between 1823 and 1838, emigration records, school records, valuation records, church records, Ordnance Survey records, crown and peace records, Poor Law records.

Valuation Office
 
The archive holds records from 1846 listing occupiers of property for the 26 Counties in the Republic of Ireland, based on Griffith's Primary Valuation. Property locations are outlined on Valuation maps which are also archived.
