Antrim Wills: McGarel, John January 14, 1851 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Antrim Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com WILLS: MCGAREL, JOHN JANUARY 14, 1851 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: January 14, 1851 Recorded: December 1, 2017 This is the last Will and Testament of me John McGarel now residing in Larne in the County of Antrim Ireland I leave and bequeath the following legacies to be paid by my Executors who I have hereafter named viz: I leave and bequeath to my dear Sister Mary McGarel the sum of two hundred pounds sterling per annum during her life to be paid her in such manner and at such times as my Executors may deem right I leave and bequeath to Helena McGarel the Wife of my dear Brother Peter McGarel of Larne the sum of fifty pounds sterling per annum during her life to be paid her in such manner as she may wish I leave and bequeath to Thomas Naghton Esquire Merchant of 32 Fenchurch Street London son of my late and valued friend Thomas Naghton Esquire late of Crofton in the County of Hampshire the sum of five hundred pounds sterling to be paid to him within six months after my decease I leave and bequeath to my Old friend Charles Robertson of Willow Bank Inverness the sum of fifty pounds sterling as a remembrance of the regard I have always entertained for him I leave and bequeath all and every of my messuages lands plantations of Bank Hall Uniform Glenavargh or shares of such in the Colony of Demerara and all hereditaments and real and immoveable estate whatsoever and wheresoever to my dear Brother Peter McGarel of Larne as aforesaid and Charles McGarel of Wimpole Street London all and every the Residue and Remainder of Estate and Property whatsoever and wheresoever and all my Goods and chattels money debts and other Personal estate and effects in Great Britain and Ireland or in the Colony of Demerara or elsewhere & not otherwise disposed of by this my Will that is to say to Peter McGarel two thirds and Charles McGarel one third of the residue and remainder as aforesaid subject to the said several legacies as before mentioned and to the payment of my debts funeral and testamentary expences And lastly I appoint my dear Brothers Peter McGarel of Larne and Charles McGarel of Wimpole Street London Executors and Trustees to my said Will And I hereby revoke all former and other Wills declaring this writing alone to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said John McGarel have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one John Mc Garel (Attestation Clause) Samuel Nelson _ John H Gawn _ James Turner Proved at London 19 February 1853 PCC Prob11/2167
