In the Name of God Amen I Robert Hall McGee of the Town of
Belfast and County of Antrim Surgeon in the Royal Navy being
of sound and disposing mind although suffering under great
bodily affliction do make this my last Will and Testament in
the following manner hereby revoking and rendering null &
void all former Wills and Testaments by me made 1st I give &
bequeath to my brother William McGee Assistant Surgeon in
the Royal Navy the following Articles my Silver mounted
flute and Case all my Medical books my Cot and a Gold Watch
Chain presented to me by my father also my Surgical
Instruments of every description with the proviso that he
will give his Case of Instruments adapted for an Assistant
Surgeon to my brother Hugh McGee by above bequest I trust he
will consider a debt of five Pounds I owe him as fully paid
2ndly I give and bequeath to my brother James McGee my books
of Music also my Writing Desk 3dly I give and bequeath to my
dearest Sister Sarah McGee my Gold Watch with the Chain &
Seals attached thereto one of my Trunks together with all my
Sheets and Table Linen also the Contents of a bandbox marked
S M and I trust that God will requite her more substantially
in a future and better World for her great attention to me
during my sickness 4thly I give & bequeath to my brother
Hugh McGee my mahogany Case of Surgeon's Instruments
provided his brother William should decline giving him his
Assistant's Case as above specified also a Miniature Picture
of my father presented to me by my dearest Sister Sarah
McGee 5thly I give and bequeath to my Sister Hannah McGee my
box of Water Colours 6thly I give and bequeath to my Sister
Mary Hull McGee my brooch and my three Volumes or the
poetical Translations 7th Mrs Jane McGee Wife of Doctor
Robert McGee I give and bequeath a Mahogany box containing
Varnished Shells a Cameo of Alexander the Great and Dauvins
(?) Botanic Garden 8thly I give and bequeath to my Sister
Eliza McGee a black Leather Trunk and the Sum of Twelve
Pounds which is to be paid her by my father Doctor Robert
McGee 9thly I give & bequeath unto my Grandmother Sarah Gray
one of my Silk handkerchiefs I give & bequeath unto my
father Doctor Robert McGee all my other property & Effects
of whatsoever kind or description that I am now possessed of
or that may hereafter devolve to me I also constitute &
appoint my said father and his Exors Admors and Assigns to
be Exor or Exors of this my last Will and Testament Signed
and Sealed as my last Will and Testament this Seventeenth
day of April in the Year of our Lord One thousand eight
hundred and fifteen Robert Hall McGee
