Antrim Wills: Wightman, William May 4, 1804 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Antrim Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com ANTRIM WILLS: WIGHTMAN, WILLIAM MAY 4, 1804 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: May 4, 1804 Recorded: January 4, 2019 In the Name of God Amen I William Wightman of Lisburn in the County of Antrim fourth Son to the late James Wightman of Lisburn aforesaid sensible of the uncertainty of Human Life do make Publish an declare this my last Will and Testament this twenty fourth Day of May One thousand Eight hundred and four in manner and form following first I order and direct that the sums I now bequeath are to be Paid out of the Money due unto me by the Executors of my late father in Law first I bequeath to my Dear Mother the Sum of five hundred Pounds Sterling and also to my Nephew William Wightman the Sum of five hundred Pounds Sterling And also I bequeath to the remaining Children of my late Brother John Wightman six hundred Pounds Sterling and also I bequeath to my Sister Mrs Wards Children the Sum of three hundred Pounds Sterling share and share alike I also desire that when the Money may be recovered that the Sum of Eight Pounds may be paid to Jacob Hancock Senr being a Debt which I was due unto him I also leave and bequeath to my Cousin James Cuthbert the Sum of two hundred Pounds Sterling I also leave and bequeath to the Children of my late Brother in Law George Brown of South Carolina the Sum of five hundred Pounds Sterling I also leave and bequeath to Sergeant Matthew Thompson or his heirs the Sum of twenty Pounds Sterling I also leave and bequeath to the wife of Henry Murphy the Sum of ten Pounds Sterling I also leave and bequeath to my Brother George Wightman the Sum of five hundred Pounds Sterling I also leave and bequeath to Thomas Townsley Son of the late Samuel Townsley of Lisburn the sum of One hundred and fifty Pounds Sterling And I also appoint the Reverend Andrew Craig and James Ward my Executors to see my Will Put in force and for their trouble I leave and bequeath to them the Sum of One hundred Pounds each I also leave to my Sister Mrs Ward the Sum of two hundred Pounds Sterling and the remainder of my property due to me in America I leave to the Poor of the Presbyterian Parish of the Town of Lisburn Wm Wightman Signed sealed and delivered as my last Will and Testament in the presence of us Richd Brison _ Janus Ray 15 August 1808 Administration with Will annexed to David Thomas Attorney to Reverend Andrew Craig and James Ward now residing in Lisburn PCC Prob11/1484
