WILLS: Gaff, George October 20, 1802 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Armagh Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com May 10, 2019, 4:25 pm WILLS: GAFF, GEORGE OCTOBER 20, 1802 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: October 20, 1802 Recorded: May 10, 2019 In the Name of God Amen I George Gaff late of Drogheda in the County of the Town of Drogheda but now of Jonesborough in the County of Armagh Esquire being of sound and disposing Mind and Memory do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say Whereas I am Entitled to the Sum of Nine Hundred Pounds or thereabouts the Securities for which are now in the hands of my Eldest Son George Gaff Lieutenant and Adjutant of His Majestys thirty third Regiment of Foot now or lately quartered at Vellire(?) in the East Indies with a power of attorney from me to receive the Interest thereof and manage the same I Give devise and bequeath unto my said Eldest Son George Gaff a full third part or share of the said Sum of Nine Hundred Pounds or thereabouts and all Interest which shall be due thereon at the time of my decease and unto my Son John Gaff one other third part or share of the said Sum of Nine Hundred Pounds and Interest and the remaining third part or share of the said Sum of Nine Hundred Pounds and Interest I Give and bequeath unto my Daughter Anne Maria Gaff which respective Sums or Proportions of said Securities so bequeathed to my said Sons George and John Gaff and my said Daughter Anne Maria Gaff I direct shall be paid to them respectively as soon after my decease as conveniently may be I Give devise and bequeath unto my said Daughter Anne Maria Gaff all my Right Title and Interest in the House in Jonesborough and the Land contingent thereto commonly called Barretts Holding now in my possession together with all the Furniture Books Plate or other Articles of what nature or kind soever which shall be therein at the time of my decease (Securities for Money only excepted)and also my Cows and Horse Gig and Harness and all singular all my other Articles Goods and Chattels in and about my said House and Land and as to all the rest residue and remainder of all my Goods and Chattels Money or Securities for Money or other property of what nature or kind soever I shall die seised possessed of or entitled unto I Give devise and bequeath the same to my said three Children to be equally divided between them share and share alike all of whom I do hereby appoint my residuary Legatees and Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former or other Wills by me at any time heretofore made given under my hand and seal this twentieth day of October one thousand eight hundred and two George Gaff (Attestation Clause) Thos McMah _ Jacob Caniac(?)
