Newspaper: Stolen from Mr John Russel - 1711 Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Carlow Index Newspaper Copyright Contributed by: Susie Warren susieissassy@gmail.com ________________________________________________ ARTICLES FROM THE QUEENSLANDER MENTIONING CARLOW -1891 Stolen from Mr. John RUSSEL from off the Lands of Cloghgrennan within a mile of the Town of Carlow, on Monday night the 7th May, a large bright Bay Horse, about 14 hands high, with a blaze down his Forehead; his far Foot behind white about the Fetlock; trots short and heavy; Paces Indifferent well, Branded with a T. very plain on the Right Shoulder, and Branded with the same Letter on the Left Buttock, but is not very plain; he is about seven Years Old, and has not Tushes, which is very rare. If any Person give Intelligence of him, so as he may be got to the said Mr John RUSSEL at Rutland within 2 miles of Carlow, or to Mr. Francis Anderson at the Exchequer-Office in Dublin, or to Mr. Ever MAGEE in the Town of Lisburn, shall have Forty shillings reward and reasonable Charges; and if they can secure the Thief and Horse, they shall have 5 Pounds reward. 15 May 1711, Dublin Intelligence,Dublin, Dublin, Republic of Ireland.
