WILLS: Welsh, John November 20, 1810 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Carlow Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Ros Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com April 5, 2019, 8:32 am WILLS: WELSH, JOHN NOVEMBER 20, 1810 Source: National Archives Kew Written: November 20, 1810 Recorded: April 5, 2019 In the Name of God Amen I John Welsh late belonging to His Majestys Ship Surveillante Number on Ships Books 299 now and Invalid and a Patient in the Royal Naval Hospital at Plymouth being in bodily Health & of sound & disposing mind & memory & considering the Perils and dangers of the Seas and other Uncertainties of this transitory Life do (for avoiding Controversies after my Decease) make Publish & declare this my last Will & Testament in manner following (that is to say) First I recommend my Soul to God that gave it & my Body I commit to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to order & as for & concerning all my Worldly Estate I give bequeath & dispose thereof (that is to say) unto my beloved Cousin Wm Hickey residing in Bridwell Green Carlow in the County of Carlow Ireland & unto his Heirs Exors & Admors for ever All my Wearing Apparel Wages Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattels and Estate whatsoever as shall be any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I give devise & bequeath the same unto my loving Cousin Wm Hickey aforesaid And I do hereby nominate & appoint my loving Cousin Wm Hickey aforesaid my sole xecutor of this my last Will & Testament hereby revoking all former & other Wills Testaments & Deeds of Gift by me at any time heretofore made And I do ordain & ratify these Presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will & Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my Hand & Seal the twentieth Day of November in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred & ten and in the fiftieth Year of the Reign of His Majesty King George the third over Great Britain etc. John Welch his Mark X Signed sealed published & declared in the Presence of W H Searle Lieutenant Richd Beddek Agent A Willay Agents Clerk; belonging to the Royal Naval Hospital at Plymouth Proved at London 8 May 1811 PCC Prob11/1522
