All of these families were turned off these lands by Mr. Michael Hearn, a middleman since November 1847, being obliged to surrender house and land after paying Mr. Hearn a fine of 3/. to 4/. per acre. They owed no arrears, but surrendered under a promise of out-door relief. All spelling as per book.
