K. Macnamara Grocery Buyer Dies in Medford Boston Globe (1960-1979); Sep 5, 1960; W.K. Macnamara Grocery Buyer Dies in Medford William K. Macnamara of 1442 Mystic Valley pkwy, West Medford, died yesterday at Lawrence Memorial Hospital. He was a buyer for the First National Stores. Mr. Macnamara was active up to the time of his hospitalization. Affiliated with the chain since its founding, he was, prior to that, with M. O'Keefe Stores, which were incorporated into the First National Stores. A native of County Clare, Ireland, he lived in Medford 35 years. He was a member of Boston Lodge No. 10, B.P.O.E. and the Holy Name Society of St. Raphael's Church, West Medford. He leaves a wife, Mabel Gertrude (Dillon); two sons Robert William of Wellesley, and Donald Adrian of Winchester, and five grandchildren. The funeral will be held from his home Wednesday at 9 a.m., followed by a solemn requiem Mass at St. Raphael's Church at 10. Burial will be in St. Paul's Cemetery, Arlington. Additional Comments: William MacNamara is son of Patrick and Maria (Kelly) MacNamara and sister to Margaret Louise MacNamara. He immigrated to Boston MA in 1903 on the "Mayflower"
