Clare - Woulfe, Stephen February 15, 1772 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Clare Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com April 24, 2018, 2:43 pm WOULFE, STEPHEN FEBRUARY 15, 1772 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: February 15, 1772 Recorded: April 24, 2018 I Stephen Woulfe of Tirerwiclane in the County of Clare and Kingdom of Ireland Gentleman do declare this to be my last Will and Testament I appoint my respected Uncle Peter Woulfe Esquire my Stepfather Balthasar Nicholl Field Marshall in the Service of the King of Naples and Richard Harold Gentleman of the City of Limerick Ireland to Act as Guardians to my Children until they each Attain the Age of twenty One Years or until they are Married which ever may first happen and should any of the above mentioned Gentlemen refuse to Act as Guardians I do appoint the others to Act in that capacity whereas of the fifteenth day of February in the Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and seventy two I Signed a Bond for four thousand Pounds Sterling Irish for several uses and purposes expressed in a Deed bearing equal date with said Bond now I do hereby confirm said Deed and Bond and do hereby will and ordain that they have full Effect I do hereby constitute John Macnamara of the Kingdom of England my respected Brother in Law to Act as Sole Executor to this my last Will I do likewise hereby will and ordain that the Debts due to me by andy Persons with the Interest that may happen to be due thereon be equally when paid divided between my Younger children to Increase thereby their respective shares and that all Money or Government Debentures be likewise divided whereas Michael Macnamara Senior Gentleman stood Indebted to me by Account the Sum of eighteen hundred and seventy pounds Sterling Irish and whereas his son Michael Macnamara Junior Gentleman undertook to pay in time the above Debt with legal Interest now I do hereby Acknowledge the Principal to be really but Sixteen hundred and eighty nine pounds Sterling Irish and that there was an Error of One hundred and eighty One pounds Sterling Irish I do likewise Will and Ordain that out of the Sums and Bonds due to me by David Nixon Donnallan Esquire of the Kingdom of Ireland there be allowed and deducted the Sum of Thirty Pounds Principal as being an Error and Overcharge I do hereby will that Enquiry be duly made if a Bill for Ninety Pounds Sterling Irish drawn by Mr Thomas Sexton of the City of Limerick Merchant since a Bankrupt on his correspondent in Dublin was duly Presented for Acceptance and Payment And that if not paid that Restitution of the above ninety pounds be made to my Mother or to the Person entitled to it in case of her decease I do order that the undernamed People be paid as soon as possible the Sums affixed to their respective Names To Mrs Cox milliner at the Sign of the Hen and Chickens no 36 Castle Street Dublin about One Pound seven shillings To Ambrose Leek Taylor Merchants Quay Dublin Nine Pounds nine shillings And four pence A trifle to Mr William Lane Attorney but now to his Heir Sir William Barker To Lieutenant Colonel Vallancy of Dublin Twenty Guineas To Mr Davis a Silver Lace Merchant Castle Street Dublin a trifle To Mr James Crowe Junior Attorney Six Pounds twelve shillings and six pence To Mr Boardman a Lace Merchant next door to David Latouche Esquire Banker Castle Street Dublin Six Pounds to a sword Cutler I believe next Door to Clements Jeweller Parliament Street Dublin or to the said Clement himself about Two Pounds to Mr James O'Brien Poplin Merchant at the Sign of the Salmon Francis Street Dublin either One Pound eighteen shillings and four pence or else Two Pounds fifteen shillings and ten Pence to Lanvoi a Book... near Saint Ondules Bruxelles One Guinea To John Macnamara above mentioned five pounds 28 March 1794 Appearance by John Macnamara of the City of Brussells and John Purcell of the same City as to manner and character of handwriting of deceased 4 April 1794 Appearance by John Macnamara of the City of Brussells Proved at London 4 April 1794 PCC Prob11/1245
