Cork - Garryvoe Churchyard Memorials *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Colette ORorke GARRYVOE CHURCHYARD [From James Coleman M.R.S.A.L.] This churchyard lies about three miles south-east of Bohillane, and due north of Ballycotton Island. The old church walls are nearly perfect, being about 80 feet long, by 14 feet wide, and about 10 feet high. Portion of the altar remains, over which was a small two-light lancet-window. To the right of the altar is a recess, and at the left is a pedestal apparently for a statue. In the south wall is the piscina, and near it a lancet-window; whilst in the north wall, near the altar, are another recess and a lancet-window. There is also a small lancet-window in the west end ; and the doorway on the south is still perfect.
