Cork - Bastone, John October 4, 1712 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com January 31, 2018, 2:13 pm Bastone, John October 4, 1712 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: October 4, 1712 Transcribed: January 31, 2018 In the Name of God Amen I John Bastone the Younger of the City of Cork Merchant being sick of Body but of sound and perfect mind and memory Doe make and ordain this to be my last Will and Testament first and principally I committ my Soul into the hands of Almighty God my Maker hoping through the Merits Death and passion of my Saviour Jesus Christ to inherit Eternall Life And my Body I committ to the Earth from whence it was taken Item I give and bequeath unto Joane my loving Wife my three Tenements which I have in Dunster in the County of Somersett for all the Estate Term and Interest that I have in them or any or either of them Item if please God that all my effect that I have abroad come home well I also give and bequeath unto my said loving Wife One hundred pounds But if my said Effects shall not returne well then I give my said Wife but Threescore pounds in Money and no more Item all the rest of my Goods and Chattles not hereinbefore given and bequeathed my Debts Legacies and funerall Expences being first paid I give and bequeath unto my two Children Samuel and John to be equally divided between them and the survivor of them And lastly I doe make and ordain Joane my said loving Wife and my Brother in Law William Double and my Brother Francis Bastone to be Trustees of this my last Will my whole and sole Executrix of this my said last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I the said John Bastone the younger have hereunto sett my hand and Seal this fourth Day of October Anno Regin 22 Anna nunc Magna Britannia Undecimo Annoq 1712 Item I do further give and bequeath unto my said loving Wife Joane one of my best Beds and furniture thereunto belonging and Chairs and the furniture of one room I doe desire my said loving Wife and my Brother in Law William Double and my Brother Francis Bastone to be Trustees of this my last Will and to see the same performed in every particular Item my further Will is that after the Death of my said Wife my said Children shall enjoy my said Tenements in Dunster for all the remainder of the said Term which shall be then therein to come John Bastone Jn Signed sealed and published in presence of us the mark of Margaret Stronge John Bastone Senr Will: Sider Jun Proved at London 10 July 1714 PCC Prob11/541
