Cork - Callaghan, John March 16, 1756 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com February 1, 2019, 8:36 am CALLAGHAN, JOHN MARCH 16, 1756 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: March 16, 1756 Recorded: February 1, 2019 In the Name of God Amen I John Callaghan of his Majestys Ship the Nottingham Mariner but now on board his Majestys Ship the Tilbury Captain Foulke Commander riding at Anchor in the Harbour of Corke being of Perfect Health Mind and Memory (thanks be to the Almighty God) and considering the Perils and Dangers of the Seas Do make and Publish my last Will and Testament in manner following Viz Imprimis I recommend my Soul to God who Gave it my Body to the Earth or Sea to be buried in a decent Christian manner as my Executor herein after named Shall Direct and as to my Worldly Substance wherewith it Shall please the Almighty God to Endow me with I Give Devise and bequeath the same as follows I Give and bequeath unto my Dear and well beloved Brother in Law Andrew Donohoe of the City of Corke Ale Seller and my Brother in Law of the same Yeoman all my Worldly Goods and Substance both Real and Personal And I also Give and bequeath unto my said Brothers in Law Andrew Donohoe and William Cotter in Trust for their Wives who are my Sisters all such Sum and Sums of Money as shall or may become due and payable to me in any wise whatever on Account of my Service done in any of his Majestys Ships frigates or other Vessels belonging to his Majesty King George the Second And I do hereby nominate Constitute and Appoint my said Dear and well beloved Brother in Law Andrew Donohoe Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament And I do hereby revoke disannul and make Void all other Will and Wills by me formerly made Ratifying and confirming this my only last and true Will and no other Witness my hand and Seal this Sixteenth day of March 1756 on board his Majestys Ship the Tilbury Riding at Anchor as aforesaid where no Stampt Paper is to be had John Callahan his Mark and Seal Sealed and Delivered in the Presence of T P Fowke _ Richd Ette _ Jno Hick Proved at London 14 January 1760 PCC Prob11/752
