Cork - Conolly, Margaret June 27, 1783 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com January 22, 2019, 1:43 am CONOLLY, MARGARET JUNE 27, 1783 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: June 27, 1783 Recorded: January 21, 2019 In the Name of God Amen this twenty Seventh day of June 1783 I Margaret Conolly of the Parish of Ballymoodane in the County of Cork being sick and weak of Body but of perfect mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following Viz Whereas my son Jeremiah Conolly deceased has been a Mariner for some Years on board his Majestys Ship of War the Exeter and whereas my said son when he deceased had then due to him Wages and Prize Money and which said Wages and Prize Money are still due and payable to me his Mother I give and devise the same in manner following first of all I give and bequeath unto my well beloved Cousin Catherine Heagerty Wife of Daniel Heagerty of the Irishtown of Brandon the Sum of Ten Pounds Sterling to be paid her out of the said Wages and Prize Money for and I Consideration of her tender Care Expence and Trouble and I also nominate Constitute and appoint the said Catherine Heagerty Executrix of this my last Will and Testament I also give and be queath unto Daniel Carthy my Brother seven Pounds Sterling I also give and bequeath to Derby farisia four Pounds Sterling I also give and bequeath unto Patrick Flyn three pounds Sterling I also give and bequeath unto Johanna Regan three pounds Sterling I also give and bequeath unto Timothy Aheren two pounds Sterling And I do hereby order Constitute and Appoint my above named Executrix Catherine Heagerty in my name to sue for recover and receive all such Wages and Prize Money as aforesaid as are and remain due to my said Son Jeremiah Conolly and I also give and bequeath the Sum of One Pound Sterling to the Reverend Mr Patrick Geran to say Masses for mine and the Souls of my Son and Husband and it is my further Will that if the said Wages and Prize Money be received that they do not prove sufficient to pay my said bequests that then my said Executrix shall retain the said Ten Pounds and pay the other bequests in proportion to the Money remaining and if any Money shall remain after paying said bequests to reserve the same to her own use In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and Seal the day and year first above written Margaret Conolly Mark X and seal (Attestation Clause) Danl Heagarty _ Pat.
