Cork - Creagh, Francis December 16, 1830 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com September 9, 2017, 2:02 am CREAGH, FRANCIS DECEMBER 16, 1830 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: December 16, 1830 Recorded: September 9, 2017 I Francis Creagh Rt Major HP 83rd Regiment do bequeath the following sums to my Nephews and nieces to Thomas Wilkinson my Nephew fifty pounds my nephew Francis Wilkinson fifty pounds my niece Catherine Wilkinson (otherwise Holmes) fifty pounds my Nephew Thomas Crips fifty pounds The Residue of my property I bequeath to my two nieces Honora and Eliza Crips in equal shares I declare the above statement to be my wish Cork 16th December 1830 Fras Creagh In the funds I have left Eight hundred pounds Cork Bank of Ireland one hundred and sixty two pounds F Creagh I leave Mrs O'Keeffe my Servant twenty pounds In the Prerogative Court of Canterbury Appeared Personally Richard Holmes Captn in His Majesty's 27th Regiment of foot and Anderson Dargaville of the City of Cork in Ireland Apothecary and Druggist and made Oath that they knew and were well acquainted with Francis Creagh late of Glanmore of the South East liberties in the City of Cork in Ireland a Brevet Major on half pay of the Eighty third Regiment of foot deceased for several years before and to the time of his death and said Richard Holmes saith he has several times seen said Francis Creagh deceased write and subscribe his name to Writings and saith Anderson Dargaville saith he has several times seen said Francis Creagh deceased write and subscribe his name to Writings and both said deponents say that thereby they have acquired a knowledge of his manner and character of handwriting and subscription & having now viewed and perused the paper Writing hereunto annexed purporting to be and contain the last Will & Testament with a Codicil thereto of the said deceased the said Will beginning thus: I Francis Creagh Rt Major HP 83rd Regiment do bequeath the following sums to my nephews & nieces ending thus I declare the above statement to be my wish Cork 16th Dec 1830.......... On the 14th day of March 1835 the said Richard Holmes and Anderson Dargaville were duly sworn to the truth of this Affidavit before me Samuel Moore Kyle Commissary 8 April 1835 Administration with Will annexed to Honora Crips and Eliza Crips Spinsters Prob11/1845
