Cork - Duggan, Denis May 13, 1811 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com September 7, 2017, 4:41 pm DUGGAN, DENIS MAY 13, 1811 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: May 13, 1811 Recorded: September 7, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Denis Duggan Ordinary Seaman belonging to her Majesty's Ship Illustrious but now a Patient in the Royal Hospital in the Cape of Good Hope (No on Ship's Books unknown) not having brought and Sick ticket with me not being in perfect health but of sound and disposing mind and memory and considering the perils and dangers of the Seas and other uncertainties of this transitory life and for avoiding controversies after my decease Do make publish and declare this my last Will and testament in manner and form following that is to say first I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my body I commit to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to order and as for and concerning all my Worldly Estate I Give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth that is to say all my pay wages prize money and all and singular other Sum and Sums of money lands tenements and Estates as shall be any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I do give devise and bequeath the same unto the following persons being relatives Vizt Denis Sullivan Mary Sullivan Jane Haggerty and Catherine Haggerty to be equally divided amongst them share and share alike and I do hereby constitute and appoint Mr John Murphy farmer and Mr Waggett Butter Merchant residing in Ballimore in the Parish of Dewhallow or Parish Priest Tuohaugh County of Cork Ireland to be Executors of this my last Will and testament hereby revoking all former & other Wills & Testaments and deeds of gift by me at any time heretofore made I do ordain and ratify these presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will and testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my hand and Seal this thirteenth day of May in the Year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eleven and in the fifty first year of the reign of His Majesty King George the third of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland Dennis Duggan (Attestation Clause) James Cairns M D Surgeon _ J Chenoweth Agent _ Robert Smith Dispenser Proved at London 16 May 1812 to John Murphy power reserved to William Wagget PCC Prob11/1533
