Cork - Hurley, John April 30, 1845 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com February 1, 2019, 5:03 am HURLEY, JOHN APRIL 30, 1845 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: April 30, 1845 Recorded: February 1, 2019 This is the last Will and Testament of me John Hurley of Bandon in the county of Cork Brewer being at the time of the making hereof of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and hereby revoking annulling and making void all former Will or Wills by me at any time heretofore made I direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences be paid as soon as conveniently may be after my decease by my executors hereinafter named whereas I am now possessed of and well and legally entitled to all that the Brewery concerns and premises adjoining said town of Bandon aforesaid and also to the Mill and concerns of Spital together with the farm attached thereto situate in the County of Cork aforesaid I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof and all stock in trade Machinery houses carts farming stock and implements relating thereto respectively to John Hassett of Forest in the County of Cork Esquire and Henry Hassett of the City of Cork Attorney at law and the survivor of them and his heirs and their and his assigns upon the several uses hereinafter mentioned and expressed concerning the same that is to say out of profits and proceeds to be made and arising out of said respective concerns and farm to pay and hand over unto my dearly beloved Wife Johanna Hurley otherwise Hassett one eighth part share and proportion thereof yearly and every year for and during the term of her natural life and as to the remaining seven eighth shares and proportions thereof to be divided amongst my children begotten on the body of my said Wife Johanna in such shares and proportions in manner and form and at such time and times as my said trustees hereinafter named (with the consent of my said dearly beloved Wife) may think most desirable and I desire that my said trustees and the survivor of them and his heirs and their and his assigns And I hereby authorize and empower him and them with the consent aforesaid at all times hereafter to invest any security or securities in the purchase of any property that they may think proper any sum or sums of money that may from time to time arise or have accumulated from or out of the said Brewery concerns Mill and farm for the benefit of my said children and in case my said trustees or the survivor of them and his heirs and their and his assigns should at any time hereafter deem it expedient or advisable with the consent of my said beloved Wife to sell sublet surrender or demise the said hereinbefore mentioned premises or lands or any part or parts thereof I therefore empower them or the survivor of them and his heirs and their and his assigns so to do I give devise and bequeath unto my dearly beloved Wife all my household furniture of every nature or description together also with all my plate glass books and carriages and in case of the death of all my children before becoming entitled to their respective shares then and in such case I direct All my said Property to be handed over to my said Wife And I nominate constitute and appoint the said John Hassett and Henry Hassett Executors to this my Will In Witess whereof I have hereunto put my hand and affixed my seal this thirtieth day of April one thousand eight hundred and forty five John Hurley (Attestation Clause) Henry Hassett Solr _ John Crimin Writing Clerk Proved to John Hassett of Forest Macroom Henry Hassett having renounced 13 November 1849 Proved at London 10 May 1850 PCC Prob11/2113
