Cork - Maher, John April 16, 1795 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com April 15, 2018, 8:53 am MAHER, JOHN APRIL 16, 1795 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: April 16, 1795 Recorded: April 15, 2018 In the Name of God Amen I John Maher Seaman of his Majestys Ship Egmont No on the Ships Books 185 John Sutton Esqr Commander being of a sound and disposing Mind and Memory and considering the dangers and uncertainties of this transitory Life do for avoiding Controversies after my decease make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say first I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my Body to the Dust or Deep as it shall please God to order and as for all my Worldly Estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as follows (that is to say)All Wages Head Money Prize Money Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattels and Estate whatsoever as shall be any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my decease I give devise and bequeath the same unto my beloved father William Maher and four Brothers James Maher Timothy Maher Dennis Maher living at Brickfield near Cork and William Maher now belonging to his Majesty's Ship Windsor Castle to be equally divided amongst them hereby revoking all other Wills Testaments and Deeds of Gifts by me at any time heretofore made And I do ordain and ratify these Presents to stand and be for my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my Hand and Seal on board the aforesaid Ship at Sea the sixteenth day of April and in the Thirty fifth Year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the Grace of God of Great Britain France and Ireland King defender of the faith and so forth And in the Year of Our Lord One thousand seven hundred and ninety five The Mark of X John Maher signed sealed and Published in the Presence of Us John Sutton Captain Thos Cowan Purser 22 June 1797 Administration with Will annexed to William Maher the father PCC Prob11/1292
