Cork - McCarthy, Justin January 27, 1802 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com April 19, 2018, 3:13 pm MCCARTHY, JUSTIN JANUARY 27, 1802 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: January 27, 1802 Recorded: April 19, 2018 In the Name of God Amen I Justin McCarthy Mariner at present belonging to His Majesty's Ship Braave Thomas Alexander Esquire Captain being in Bodily Health and of disposing Mind and Memory considering the Perils and Dangers of the Seas and other uncertainties of this transitory Life (do for Avoiding Controversies after my Decease) make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in Manner following that is to say first I recommend my Soul to God that gave it and my Body I commit to the Earth or Sea as it shall please God to order and as for and concerning all my worldly Estate I give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth that is to say all such Prize Money as is or may become due unto me as also all such Wages Sum and Sums of Money Lands Tenements Goods Chattels and Estate whatsoever as shall be any ways due owing or belonging unto me at the time of my Decease I do give devise and bequeath the same unto my dearly beloved father Charles McCarthy resident of the Parish of Creegh in the County of Cork Ireland if he should be living at the time of my Decease but in the Event of his Death then I do give and bequeath the same unto my Brother James McCarthy and I do hereby nominate and appoint the said Charles McCarthy my father Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and other Wills Testaments and Deeds of Gift by me at any time heretofore made and I do ratify and ordain these presents to stand and be for and as my only last Will and Testament In Witness whereof to this my said Will I have set my Hand and Seal this twenty seventh Day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two and in the forty first year of the Reign of His Majesty King George the third Justin McCarthy Signed sealed published and declared in the Presence of T Alexander Captain _ John Mackie 1st Lieutenant _ Jerh Jenkins Surgeon Proved at London 3 November 1803 PCC/Prob11/1401
