Cork - McDermott, Bartholomew April 19, 1827 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com September 4, 2017, 7:53 am MCDERMOTT, BARTHOLOMEW APRIL 19, 1827 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: April 19, 1827 Recorded: September 4, 2017 In the Name of God Amen I Bartholomew McDermott of Fish Street in the City of Cork being of sound mind and understanding do make this my last Will and Testament whereas I am possessed of money in the four per cent securities to the amount of two thousand three hundred pounds or thereabout I now bequeath and will four hundred pounds thereof to the little girl Betsy McDermott who now lives with me I also leave the Sum of three hundred pounds thereof to Miss Mary Roche my relative I leave three hundred pounds thereof to the family of Mr Power residing at Bellview in the County of Waterford to be divided by him amongst his family as he shall think fit I leave one hundred pounds to John Keleher now studying in the college of Maynooth I leave one hundred pounds to the Revd Thomas O'Keefe towards the building of the new Roman Catholic Chapel in the Parish of Saint Peter and Paul in the City of Cork I give and bequeath to the Revd Justin McNamara the remainder of my money and property of every description not hereinbefore bequeathed and disposed of by me and I hereby appoint the said Revd Justin McNamara my residuary Legatee and I also nominate & constitute the said Revd Justin McNamara sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have set my hand and affixed my seal to these presents which I hereby publish and declare to be my last Will and Testament this nineteenth day of April one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven Barth.
