Cork - Murphy, Timothy Alias John March 8, 1830 *********************************************** Ireland Genealogy Projects Archives Cork Index Copyright ************************************************ File contributed by: Rosalind Dunning ros.dunning@outlook.com January 1, 2018, 1:10 pm MURPHY, TIMOTHY ALIAS JOHN MARCH 8, 1830 Source: National Archives Kew England Written: March 8, 1830 Recorded: January 1, 2018 In the Name of God Amen I Timothy alias John Murphy of Old Court in the South Liberties of the City of Cork (but formerly of Maryborough in the Queens County) do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following that is to say I order all my just debts to be paid if any I shall owe at the time of my death to pay my funeral expenses and also to pay unto my Wife Elizabeth Murphy otherwise Townsend the sum of ten pounds for her own use and after the payments aforesaid As to the Residue of my Property and effects to invest the same in Government stock and to pay unto my said dear Wife or permit and authorise her to receive the interest dividends and proceeds thereof during her life and also to permit and suffer my said Wife to make over and dispose of the said principal sum so as to be vested as aforesaid in Government stock as she may think fit and proper by Will or bequest save and except the sum of one hundred pounds to be deducted therefrom and appropriated as hereinafter mentioned that is to say from and after her decease then to be paid unto my two brothers Patrick Murphy and James Murphy both of Maryborough aforesaid the said sum of one hundred pounds share and share alike and in case my said brothers or either of them shall not be living at the time of the death of my said Wife then as to the share or moiety of him who shall not be living at the time aforesaid to be paid to the child or children of my said brothers respectively or of such of them as shall not be living respectively if more than one share and share alike and in case either of my said Brothers shall have died and shall not have left a child who shall be living at the time of the death of my said wife the as to the entire of the said sum of one hundred pounds to be paid to my other brother if living or to his child or children in such manner as aforesaid in case he shall have died and in case both my said brothers and all their children shall have died at the time aforesaid then to be paid to the executors or administrators of my said wife And I hereby appoint my said wife Elizabeth Murphy otherwise Townsend sole Executrix of this my Will Dated this eight day of March one thousand eight hundred and thirty _ Timothy alias John Murphy his Mark X Signed and declared by the said testator as for his last Will and testament (having been first truly read to him) in presence of Denis Carey _ Henry Doran I hereby disclaim all power authority power over or property in whatever my dear wife may possess of her own earning by Wages bequest or in any manner whatsoever leaving all whatever it may be at her own disposal as I solemnly promised her Timothy alias John Murphy his Mark X Present Henry Doran _ Denis Carey 28 June 1833 Administration with Will annexed to Patrick Murphy the Brother Elizabeth Murphy otherwise Townsend the Relict having died without proving the Will and Maria Townsend the Niece and sole Executrix to the Will of Elizabeth Murphy otherwise Townsend having renounced Letters of Administration PCC Prob11/1817
