In the Name of God Amen I Daniel Cuolahan of Millfield Place
of Lower Fahan Co of Donegal being in Sound mind & Judgment
do make this my last Will & testament revoking all former
ones I order and desire my body to be decently interred in
the Buncranna Burying Ground under the Stone now placed
there if there is accommodation to do so if not near to it I
order and desire that my just debts to be paid I give and
bequeath to my beloved Wife L Cuolahan as follows I leave to
the Judgement of my Executors whether they may set or sell
the Millfield property and as it is now arranged their
appears to be about thirty Pounds Stg of a deficiency of the
Chief rent due Yearly to Mrs Todd I therefore order & direct
that whatever Sum remains after paying this Sum shall be
given to my Wife either half Yearly or Yearly during her
natural life but after her decease ten to be given to my
Children or to the Survivor or Survivors of them I further
order all my Household property and Chattels to be Sold and
after paying my debts and giving decent and Suitable
Mourning to my Wife & Children then I desire the remaining
Sum to be put to Interest & the Interest arising therefrom
to be given to my Wife also during her natural life but this
as well as the former bequeathed Millfield property to be
given to my Children Share and Share alike as aforesaid I
give to my Wife the big Watch and the two?? given her as a
present by Mr Brown I give and bequeath to my eldest
daughter the Plate I possess also the Picture of her
Grandfather now in my possession I leave to see my Will now
carried into Effect as my Executors W Haslett of ferry quay
Street L Derry & John Evans of Buncrana Given under my hand
at Millfield this 21st March 1827 Daniel Cuolahan Witness
Alexander Kennedy _ James McLaughlin Daniel Coulahan being
still of Sound mind and anxious to make some additions to my
Will do hereby add the following Codicil That my Executors
shall have full Power to let my property of Millfield for
the entire term of the lease or to sell the same as they
shall deem fit the total Profit of said letting or the
interest arising from the investment of the Purchase money
as the case may be to be paid to my Wife Letitia Cuolahan
during her natural life and should said property be Sold and
the interest of the Purchase money not Amount to ?1€740 Per
Annum then my Executors shall pay to my said Wife for her
Sole use & benefit the Sum of ?1€7100 for every ?1€710 that
said interest shall be annually short of the ?1€740 above
mentioned That all the money that may arise from my Interest
in the Estate of the late George Haslett or any Sum that may
be bequeathed by Mrs Brown shall be invested as it may arise
for the use of my three Children Alice Catharine & Jane
